The kinematic and dynamic state of the high-latitude cloud L1642 are
studied. It is found that, within the border of the (C-13)O emission,
the mass of the cloud is about 84 solar masses. The number density of H2
is shown to be about 9000 cu cm in the densest part of the cloud core.
