Use of an image tube with photographic plates of high signal-to-noise ratio has enabled the D lines of both components of V805 Aql and EE Peg to be measured for radial velocities. This new spectrographic material, combined with available photometric orbits, leads to the determination of the fundamental properties of these detached main-sequence systems. Although the hotter, more-massive components in the two systems are similar in most of their properties, in EE Peg this component shows pronounced metallic-line properties, while in V805 Aql the abundance ratios appear to be more nearly solar. The more-massive component in each system appears slightly evolved in the mass-radius plane, while the less-massive components have radii close to the lower limits of observed radii for stars with their masses.
