A faint nebula with a central, very red star was discovered on ESO Schmidt plates. Photometry and spectra of the central star are presented. The star is an early-G giant with a visual absorption of 4.5 mag at a distance of 210 + or - 90 pc. The associated nebulosity is clearly reflection. Suggestions are made as to the evolutionary state of such objects.
