The paper presents observations of a feature of filamentary shape in Scorpius and Ophiuchus in the longitude range of 350-338 deg at positive latitudes. The average value for its radial velocity and its dispersion are -12.3 plus or minus 1.1 km/s and 2.7 plus or minus 0.8 km/s respectively. Its H I mass is 175 solar masses if a distance of 150 pc is assumed. In addition, a sequence of events different from that described by Sancisi (1974) for the formation of the young association Sco OB 2 is proposed.
