Mean pulse profiles of the pulsar PSR 1055-52 are examined which were obtained simultaneously at frequencies of 308, 400, 635, and 1400 MHz. The linear polarization measured at 1400 MHz is also analyzed. Three pulse components are found in each profile; the first and last components are shown to be well separated and of comparable amplitude. The spectra of the three components are described, and it is noted that all three components are highly polarized. It is concluded that the complex pulse shape of PSR 1055-52 is remarkably similar to that of the Crab pulsar, suggesting that the magnetic-field geometry and orientation to the observer's line of sight may also be similar for these pulsars.
