Studies regarding a possible relationship between periodicities concerning the sunspot numbers and climatic cycles are considered, taking into account investigations in which periodicities were observed with time periods from 5 to 6 years, from 3 to 4 years, and from 2.2 to 2.3 years. The fluctuations of meteorological parameters describing conditions near the ground are examined and a description of the employed analysis methods is presented. An evaluation of the results shows that there are correlations between the relative sunspot numbers and terrestrial parameters. However, these correlations are not very pronounced and can only be detected in a few cases.
