A metallographic and microprobe study of the metal in four LL type chondrites, Appley Bridge and Jelica (petrolithic grade 6) and Olivenza and Khanpur (petrolithic grade 5) is presented. The point analyses for individual metal grains in these chondrites plot along a line of constant CO:Ni ratio equal to 1:24. The Prior's law relationship between the bulk metal composition of the four separate meteorites appears to have been operative at a highly localized level on the metal within each of these meteorites.
