The objective of this report is to describe and discuss the thermal design, analysis and flight data of various experiments flown through the Hitchhiker (HH) Program at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, along with a comparison study of the HH Avionics for several missions. The research entails the thermal design of the experiments, the shuttle mission profile (attitude time line) and actual flight data. One interesting flight occurred for STS-74 and the HH GLO-4/PASDE Payload (GPP). This was a MIR docking mission which required the Orbiter to fly in extreme solar inertial attitudes conducive for MIR, attitudes never flown prior to this mission. PASDE, mounted in three different bays of the Orbiter, allowed for a comparison of attitude with bay location.
