Astronomical archives can hold vast amounts of data. Finding your way through this forest of data can be a daunting problem. StarView is the user interface for the Space Telescope Data Archive and Distribution Service (ST DADS). It was designed to aid scientists in finding their way through the enormous amount of data found in ST DADS. It was designed using object oriented methodology and implemented in C++. The object oriented approach has supported the inclusion of design features needed to manipulate and understand these data.
