The present survey of recent work on solar coronal abundances encompasses analyses of stellar spectra and emphasized the question as to the accuracy of atomic data, especially the temperature-dependence of ionization fractions. It is noted that inaccuracies significantly affect the derived abundances sufficiently to mask any variations that may exist in the first ionization potential.
