Preliminary results are presented from a two-ion steady model of the 'fast' solar wind, where the temperature profiles have been derived from single-ion calculations. The critical solution is found by first constructing the two relevant critical lines and then searching for a trajectory that passes through both. The critical structure of the phase space is thereby obtained as a byproduct.
