An X-ray plasma ejection obtained in the course of Yohkoh soft X-ray observations of solar flares is examined in detail with a view to the possibility of its involving plasmoids, as expected from the reconnection model. The results of this study are compared with the characteristics of X-ray jets, and a possible interpretation for both the plasmoids and the jets based on the magnetic reconnection model is briefly discussed.
