Radio, optical, and spectroscopic observations of the radio source OX 029 suggest a duplicity of radio sources for which there may be two optical counterparts: an elliptical galaxy and a starlike object with a continuous spectrum. The possibility is raised that the latter may be an example of a BL Lacertae-type object which has been ejected from the elliptical galaxy.
