Gamma-Ray Bursts: Intensity, Solar X-Ray Bursts: Hard X Rays

The authors have analyzed data of more than 4000 solar hard X-ray bursts and 1000 gamma-ray bursts detected by CGRO/BATSE during 1991 - 1995 to investigate their intensity distribution and their temporal characteristics. They have found the similarity between intensity distributions of BATSE gamma-ray bursts and solar hard X-ray bursts. This might indicate these two hard X-ray burst phenomena have similarity in mechanism. This gives a negative support to the cosmological model of gamma-ray bursts.
