We have studied 4 time-resolved spectra of 0623+71, covering 73% of the
orbit. Three of these show features expected for a cataclysmic variable
with a small inclination but the fourth shows a flux and radial velocity
much larger than expected, suggesting a flare such as is observed in AE
Aqr.
