A list of 13 fairly certain identifications of X-ray-emitting supernova remnants (SNRs) is presented, along with ages and temperatures deduced from X-ray spectral data. Some evolutionary features of SNRs of relevance to X-ray emission are discussed, and coronal line emission from SNRs is considered. X-ray structures and spectra are examined in detail for the Cygnus Loop, Puppis A, W44 (3C 392), and the Gamma Cygni SNR (DR4). Optical coronal line observations of the radio remnant N49 in the Large Magellanic Cloud are also reported, and X-ray fluxes are predicted for this source.
