Three problems are considered. 1. It is pointed out that the energy dissipation caused by truncation error when non-symplectic integrators are used cannot be solved by the inclusion of an artificial drag term; rather, the energy at the end of each integration step must be rectified. 2. It is shown how the energy rectification should be effected when the perturbing acceleration involves rotating axes. 3. A method is given for the regularization of the integration steplength, particularly in case of large eccentricity.
