The rocket payload ASTRO-HEL is a helium resonance-cell extreme ultraviolet photometer instrumentation for the high resolution spectral analysis of He-I 58.4 nm and He-II 30.4 nm radiation. The payload is described in detail and the method of data processing is discussed which enables the sure separation of geocoronal and interplanetary radiation components. The concept of the ASTRO-HEL payloads is based on experience obtained from the ASTRO-6 rocket mission.
