The main concern is the establishment of prediction models for the solar
activity which greatly influences the behavior of the upper atmosphere
constituent elements. Such models are aimed at applications in orbit
computations of close earth satellites ( 1000 km) which, within this
altitude range, are affected by atmospheric drag.
