A search of 53 type II OH stars with no optical counterparts has resulted in the detection of 22-GHz H2O emission in four of these objects. The search has been carried out with the Itapetinga radio telescope, with an upper limit for line detection of about 5 Jy. Two of the new H2O sources have spectra with the double-peak structure that is usually observed in the OH lines.
