A comparison of ground and radiosone measurements of ozone content over Central Europe performed at 13 aerological stations during 1988-1989 with TOVS data has been made. Analysis of the results demonstrates the reliability of TOVS retrievals of the total ozone content and the vertical distribution of the ozone mixing ratio in the region of the highest ozone concentration (10-100 hPa).
