The latest data points from the RXTE All-Sky Monitor indicate that GRS1915+105 is rising out of the low-hard state, where it had been for the last 14 days with a mean flux of 0.39 mCrab at 2-12 keV. On 2001 July 15, the X-ray flux (2-12 keV) increased from 0.44 Crab (02:50 UT) to 0.73 Crab (07:30 UT). Previous breakouts from the low-hard state have been associated with the birth of relativistic radio jets from this black hole binary (and microquasar), so radio and IR measurements are urgently needed as soon as possible.
