Many motions of filaments can be described as a drift of plasma in the crossed fields, but there are such motions as well which cannot be explained by the drift only. One must consider that motions having an acceleration higher than that of the gravity on the Sun are the result of the filament's own current. The conditions of the equilibrium and stability of a filament with strong current in an external field were obtained in the framework of the two-dimensional model. The motion of such a filament originating as a result of weak disturbances of the external field was considered. The acceleration of a filament is much higher than that of the gravity. For the vector potential, the general boundary problem determining the magnetic field and the current above the photosphere is formulated.
