Two statistically complete samples of 13 Fanaroff-Riley type II (FR II) radio galaxies (RGs) and 13 FR II quasars (QSRs) are compared in terms of their polarization properties. Previously, we have reported that the jet detection rate is consistent with the prediction of the unified models, with more jets detected in QSRs than in RGs. We report here that there is no statistically significant difference between the distribution of depolarization asymmetries in the RGs and QSRs. We discuss the implication of this result in terms of Barthel's 1989 RG-QSR unification scheme.
