A spectroscopic orbit has been determined for the faint double lined eclipsing binary V643 Ori. The radial velocities were obtained with the Coravel radial velocity spectrometer. Using 35 Coravel measurements for the primary component and 31 for the secondary, the first spectroscopic orbit was calculated, yielding accurate elements. Considerations about spectral type, duration of main eclipse and consecutive loss of light and other parameters deduced from Coravel peaks, lead the author to adopt for this system a model in agreement with the whole spectroscopic and photometric data. The system so appears to be a relatively unusual association of two giant K stars.
