Scientific paper

Deep B and V CCD images, obtained with the ESO 3.6 m telescope in two
fields of the globular cluster Omega Centauri have been used to detect
faint, blue objects, possible white dwarf candidates. The contamination
by field stars and background extragalactic objects is also discussed.
