A spectroscopic follow-up of 53 galaxies from the Case low-dispersion northern sky survey is presented. Emission lines have been found in 42 of them and have been used to measure recession velocities and absolute magnitudes. No AGN have been detected. The present sample contains a dozen low luminosity galaxies with star formation activity but no extreme metal-poor galaxy has been found.
