Radio and optical data on samples of intermediate-strength GB/GB2 quasars and quasar candidates are presented. The optical B magnitudes of these objects are strongly dependent on radio flux density. About 40 percent of the objects have double or other extended structure, while about 60 percent are core-dominated. Extended double structures appear more common in higher-luminosity samples, while compact sources dominate low-luminosity samples. The most narrow distribution of spectral indices was found for the DII doubles. Core-dominated quasars contain both flat-spectrum cores and compact but rather steep-spectrum sources. The median linear sizes of GB/GB2 quasars vary from 70 kpc +15 or -10 kpc for double sources, 30 kpc + or - 15 kpc for core-dominated 1S and 2S morphologies, to less than 2 kpc + or - 1 kpc for unresolved and EX sources. The differences probably indicate different intrinsic physical conditions in the sources and their environments.
