The suggestion has been made that the energy spectrum from point sources
such as galactic black hole candidates and AGN is universal and the
spectrum should be identical to that of cosmic rays at the source on the
average. Recent measurements of gamma-rays by the EGRET detector of the
Compton Gamma Ray Observatory seem to support this prediction.
