A multiple collector-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, together with Ga external correction techniques, are presently used to determine the Ge isotopic ratios for several iron meteorites as well as germanite and three Ge shelf standards. The Ge isotopic compositions for IAB nonmagmatic irons show wide variations covering almost the entire range of iron meteorites in this study. The Ge in IAB nonmagmatic irons are therefore implied to have been fractionated by the Ge partial evaporation process.
