Barred Spirals: Oxygen, Starburst Galaxies: Oxygen

Scientific paper

The author has studied the variations of oxygen abundance along the bar
for 13 spiral barred galaxies with starbursts. The maximum abundance is
in the center of the galaxy for seven of them and then decreases along
the bar. One galaxy presents two maxima of abundance on either side of
the galactic center.
