We have observed five Bok globules (CB 003, CB 034E, CB 054, CB 068, and CB 230) in the continuum near a wavelength of 850 μm with a new imaging polarimeter at the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope and made a CO J=3-2 line observation of one globule (CB 068). The globule CB 068 has a linear polarization near 10%, about 4 times as high as in previous observations of star-forming cores near the same wavelength. CB 068 may be a young class 0 object, being detected with IRAS at long wavelengths only and having a weak CO outflow. The strong linear polarization in CB 068 suggests that some cold Bok globules have highly ordered magnetic fields and environments which provide good conditions for grain alignment. A scenario to remove turbulence from the centers of Bok globules is proposed, based on a strong magnetic field alignment.
