A method of calculating the dispersed-phase concentration in dusty gas flow, based on using the Lagrange form of the particle continuity equation, is developed. The method makes it possible to calculate the particle concentration along a fixed particle trajectory and to investigate flow regions with multiple intersection of particle trajectories and particle accumulation zones. The use of the method is illustrated by numerical calculations of the near-symmetry-axis region in a hypersonic flow colliding with a two-phase supersonic flow from a point source (the model of evaporation of a comet nucleus). It is demonstrated that, between the bow and termination shock waves, the particle concentration distribution may have a multi-layer structure with alternating layers of high and low particle concentration and sharp particle accumulation near the envelops of the particle trajectories.
