We report the results of high-resolution N-body simulations of galaxies containing supermassive black holes. The initial conditions consist of two spherical galaxies each containing 128k particles. At the center of each galaxy is a point mass representing the black hole; the density profile around the black hole is a "steep cusp", in which the density varies as r-2. The initial conditions are integrated using a parallel tree code with variable time steps (GADGET), until the merger is complete. We describe the evolution of the stellar density cusp as the black holes form a tight binary at the center of the mergerd system.
