The Nexus flight experiment will be an approximately 2.8 meter diameter telescope based on the Next Generation Space Telescope (NGST) architecture. Nexus will validate in space the lightweight, deployable telescope technology and the wavefront sensing and control required for NGST. The design concept and evaluation of potential performance will be presented.
