The Wilkinson microwave anisotropy probe (WMAP) team has recently analyzed and released the first-year data. We will review the implications for cosmology of these results. The highlight is that the flat LCDM model with only six cosmological parameters fits not only WMAP data remarkably well, but also a host of other astronomical observations. We also present the results of the joint likelihood analysis of WMAP data with small scales CMB experiments (ACBAR, CBI) and large-scale structure surveys (2dFGRS and Lyman α forest power spectra). The data and supplementary information can be found on the experiment website at http://lambda.gsfc.nasa.gov.
The WMAP science team composed by: C. Barnes, C. Bennett (PI), M. Halpern, R. Hill, G. Hinshaw, N. Jarosik, A. Kogut, E. Komatsu, M. Limon, S. Meyer, N. Odegard, L. Page, H. Peiris, D. Spergel, G. Tucker, L. Verde, J. Weiland, E. Wollack, and E. Wright.
