Broad absorption lines (BALs) in quasar spectra indicate high velocity outflows that likely exist in all quasars and could play a major role in feedback to galaxy evolution. Studying the variability in these BALs can help us understand the structure, evolution, and basic physical properties of these outflows. We are investigating BAL variability in a sample of 24 quasars with multi-epoch observations that cover time scales from 6 years down to 2 months in the quasar rest-frame. We investigate changes in the CIV BALs, and we compare the variability in the longer baseline, 4 to 6 years, to previous work on short-term variability in the same quasars. We see a variety of phenomena, including some BALs that either appeared or disappeared completely and other BALs that did not change at all over the whole observation period. Out of the 24 quasars in our sample, 79% varied during the longer baseline that our observations cover, while only 50% varied in the short-term data. We also will be presenting some preliminary results including trends with velocity and absorption strength. We find that BALs at higher velocities are more likely to vary than those at lower velocities. Only one of the quasars had BAL variability at a velocity <4000 km/s, and 94% of the quasars with long-term variability had variability at >10,000 km/s. We also find that stronger BALs are slightly less likely to vary than weaker BALs.
