A design for the THEIA mission 4m telescope has been developed in support of the Astrophysics Strategic Mission Concept Studies. The telescope's primary mirror (PM) design has been optimized to enable the mission science requirements to be met. The telescope and PM designs strongly leverage existing technologies and hardware. There are no significant technologies hurdles to be overcome, though there are some technologies that need some additional development to ensure the fabrication of a flight 4m system can be done with acceptable risk and at a reasonable cost for a Flagship Mission.
