A series of broad and narrow-band photographs of the H II regions NGC 7635/Sh 162 and IC 1470 are presented. In addition to the well-known bubble, a second shell is found to be present in NGC 7635/Sh 162. A 5 GHz map showing the large scale structure of NGC 7635/Sh 162 is presented. The nebular continuum was measured at several places in each nebula and is shown to be due to dust-scattered starlight. From the scattered-light continuum observations and the variations in extinction found in both nebulae, a very inhomogeneous dust distribution is found. The relation of the exciting stars to the observed infrared emission is discussed.
