Scientific paper

The paper summarizes current millimeter-wave molecular astronomy, discussing the 100 GHz receiver system and the radio telescope antenna. The significance of transition studies of molecules for their identification in outer space is noted and an optical and radio telescope view of the carbon monoxide rich Great Nebula in Orion region is presented. Other molecules in space with resonance in the vicinity of 100 GHz have been observed. Results show that in all of the observed molecules, the abundance ratios of the isotopes have been near their values on Earth.
