Radio data on the Cyg X-3 radio source taken during 1972 September-October show that the decay of major events cannot be adequately described by either an exponential or a power law, but rather there is a transition from an exponential decay with time to a power-law decay with time. In addition, there are repeatable cycles of short-time-scale modulation of the overall variations that recur with an apparent period of 1 day - exactly five times the known period of the infrared and X-ray source associated with Cyg X-3. It is suggested that these phenomena are related to the ejection and acceleration of relativistic particles as manifested by the binary characteristics of the system responsible for particle ejection.
