The construction of a semiliteral series solution to the main problem of lunar theory is considered. An iterative method is used to construct a seminumerical solution or solution of order zero. The solution obtained has an internal accuracy on the order of a hundredth of a second in longitude and a thousandth of a second in latitude and parallax. This is considered insufficient, so improvement will be sought.
