The energy differences between 1s(2)2p to 1s2p3p transitions and the corresponding 1s(2) to 1s3p resonances have been determined by means of a polynomial function of the atomic number. Good agreement between results and experimental data from lithium to potassium is found. Values for nitrogen to sodium and argon have been interpolated, and values for calcium have been extrapolated. In the case of 2S, the lines are blended with 1s(2)2s to 1s2s3p in some spectra, possibly affecting the results.
