C60, Buckminsterfullerene and/or its complexed exohedral and endohedral analogues, most likely in ionized form, may be ubiquitously distributed in space and stars. The complexes involving abundant elements (Na, K, H, O, etc.) should exhibit strong charge transfer bands with characteristics similar to those of certain unidentified astrophysical spectroscopic features.
