We discuss here the preliminary results of a long term project on kinematics and photometry of SBO galaxies begun at ESO in 1983 and not yet fully completed. Beginning this study, we were particularly interested in analysing the mark of triaxiality that the bar induces in otherwise symmetrical galaxies, by perturbing and stretching out the stellar orbits. But we did not imagine that, progressing in this almost unexplored land, so many new and not yet fully explained features would be discovered. Now, we feel it would be interesting to resume here before the completion of the search the main results so far obtained.
