The paper presents an experimental study of the reflection coefficient of the sporadic E layer in the decameter-wave range on four paths over the USSR. Values of this coefficient are compared in the case of oblique sounding with a critical frequency f0Es in the path center. It is shown that depending on the background ionization and the sporadic-layer ionization, the reflection coefficient can vary in the range from 1 to 0.003 and less.
