The possibility that the extremely high energy emission from Cyg X-3 originate from particles in a magnetic field so strong that their trajectories are curved and synchrotron radiation is suppressed is examined. The output required of such curvature radiation is calculated for individual particles, taking into account the observed characteristics of a pulsar and the measured energy issuing from Cyg X-3. It is shown that the gamma ray energies could only be satisfied by pair production in a field which, if associated with curvature radiation, would be too strong to allow the radiation to escape. Further research on a nuclear interaction model to describe the processes generating the Cyg X-3 energy levels is recommended.
