Two methods are presented for the calculation of the secular terms of the planetary disturbing function. The formulas in both methods are expressed in terms of the true or eccentric anomalies, rather than the mean anomalies. It is suggested that the methods are simpler than methods in which the involved Poisson series is expressed in terms of mean anomalies.
