Recent observations have shown the existence of a third phase in the
interstellar medium, the coronal phase. Here, a calculation of the
expansion of an H II region located at the edge of a cloud which is
bordered by coronal gas is presented. The effects of the coronal gas on
the champagne phase are discussed.
