A model for the acceleration of jets in geometrically thick accretion disks is presented. The hydrodynamical equations for a non perfect, heat-conducting fluid are discussed. In the model, funnels are filled with fully ionized plasma that is continuously lost from the disk surface through a mechanism analogous to stellar wind. As a consequence of the competing action of gravitational and radiative forces a stagnation point, r0, exists in the funnels: for height along the funnel walls, r r0 the gas is accelerated outwards while for r r0 gravity prevails and the flow is directed inwards and ultimately swallowed by the hole.
